My Story
Where it all began!
In 2003 my life changed forever when I left the fashion industry to work in full time ministry. It felt like exchanging one thing for another, but during this season the Lord showed me that our faith and our vocation are not separate but one of the same.
Then, in 2010, I launched Created Woman Foundation which started out as a blog with friends that combined fashion and faith. Today, we are a full blown leadership ministry for women in the marketplace and reach thousands of women a year online and in person.
From membership, resources to conferences, our mission is to cultivate leaders, influence change and pursue God-sized dreams.

Before ministry, there was fashion! Fashion has always been a big part of my life even as a little girl. Finally after earning my degree in fashion, I moved to Austin, Texas, and began working as a retail manager at a high-end department store with the hopes of working my way to NYC to fulfill my dreams.
But soon, God began to reveal that He had a different plan; one that I didn’t quite understand at the time. He totally took me out of fashion and thrust me into full time Ministry working at my church in Austin, Texas.
That’s when God showed me that my love for fashion, was really about helping women from the inside - out. It’s where my faith meets fashion!

Foundation is a nonprofit organization that equips and empowers women as leaders in faith, family, business, and communities. This thriving organization has served over 6K women from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, life stages, and origins during the past fourteen years. Heather first envisioned Created Women to encourage, influence, and coach women in their faith and career walks in concert with her passion for fashion and creating beauty from the inside out.
